Understanding the Difference Between Owens Corning Warranty Options

A bit of Clarity on Why Roofing Warranties Aren’t the Same Everywhere

This photo of a large 2 story sandy colored brick home taken by drone represents work done by American Custom Contractors in Ellicotte Cirt MD. The home features a new Owens Corning dark colored roof with the name Peppercorn. The large trees areound are bare of any leaves and the grass is a faded winter brown/green. The sun is shining but the sky is a cloudless gray/blue.

Not all roofing contractors have access to the same warranty options. The type of warranty a contractor can provide depends on their partnership level with the roofing manufacturer. To qualify, contractors must go through a vetting process to ensure they meet installation and quality standards set by the manufacturer.

Because of this, some contractors are limited to offering only the basic, standard warranties. Others, however, who hold higher certifications, can provide extended or enhanced warranty coverage for greater protection.

For instance, at American Custom Contractors, we’re proud to be an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, which allows us to provide customers with exclusive Platinum Protection coverage. Take a look at the Owens Corning Warranty comparison chart below to see how the warranty options differ.
