Award reflects businesses’ consistently high level of customer service

American Custom Contractors has been awarded the prestigious 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service and health providers.

ACC Becomes a Certified Green Roofer with GAF

We are pleased to announce that American Custom Contractors has become a Certified Green Roofer as part of the GAF Certified Green Roofer Program.   This is an exclusive designation that recognizes steep slope roofing contractors who are dedicated to the green building movement and environmental responsibility.  The Certified Green Roofer program is affiliated with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the same organization that publishes LEED standards.  To become a part of the program, roofing contractors must:

• Commit to recycling shingles, metal and other materials from job sites; improving the overall sustainability of the business
• Complete the USGBC-approved training course Asphalt Shingles and the Green Home, and pass the exam
• Be an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council
• Report shingle, metal and other material recycling to the GAF Certified Green Roofer Program

ACC is awarded Consumer Protection Excellence Award

American Custom Contractors is pleased to announce that GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, has awarded our company with the prestigious GAF Master Elite Consumer Protection Excellence Award. This award recognizes American Custom Contractors achievement and dedication in helping consumers make educated roofing decisions.

Only contractors who are Master Elite are eligible for this award.  To achieve Master Elite status with GAF a company must pass rigorous training and maintain specific standards of business and ethics in the roofing industry.  Less than 2% of all roofing contractors have been awarded the Master Elite certification.  The Consumer Protection Excellence Award is an additional annual award given to contractors who have installed a minimum number of roof replacements with GAF Enhanced System Warranties in the past year.

American Custom Contractors has held the Master Elite certification from GAF for several years.  In order to maintain this certification our company must complete a minimum number of GAF Registered and Inspected roof systems each year.  The company also participated in continuous training and development through CARE (the Center for the Advancement of Roofing Excellence).

Hail Storm in Leesburg

In September 2010 a hail storm impacted isolated neighborhoods of Leesburg and surrounding neighborhoods.  American Custom Contractors has been working with homeowners who have damage to their roofing and siding from these hail impacts.  Many homes in this area have cedar shake roofing that may have suffered irreparable damage from the storm.  Fortunately this damage is covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy.  Hail damage can be difficult to identify from street level, so homeowners may not realize they have it without closer inspection from a roofing professional.  Our inspectors are HAAG Certified, a nationally accredited training program, and are able to identify hail damage and work directly with your insurance adjuster to identify damage and develop a settlement for any damages.

ACC Nominated for Business Ethics Award

We are pleased to announce that American Custom Contractors has been nominated by one of our customers for the 2011 National Capital Business Ethics Awards.  The award is presented annually by the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in partnership with George Mason University.  The awards were established in 1994 to promote business ethics and professionalism.  Past nominees include Kiplinger Washington Editors and RS Information Systems.

We are excited about the nomination and would like to thank our customers for their continued business.  We pride ourselves on our products and services and are continually working to find ways to improve the customer service experience.
