American Custom Contractors has been in business for thirty-nine years, making homes look and feel like new again. We are a fully licensed, bonded and insured family-owned Home Improvement Specialist. Our company was established in 1972 and thirty-nine years later we are one of the areas top remodeling companies.

We attribute our success to our belief that business is built on good relationships, honesty, integrity and quality work. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality products and craftsmanship at competitive prices. We currently service the Washington DC Metro area, including Maryland (MHIC #279), Virginia (License #2705 088927A) and the District of Columbia (License #65001704). We are familiar with many of the Home Owner Associations in these area, and can work with you to adhere to their specifications. 	Better Business Bureau The Better Business Bureau is dedicated to providing public information about established businesses.

	National Roofing Contractors Association (The National Roofing Contractors Association was established in 1886. It is one of the construction industry’s oldest trade associations and the voice of professional roofing contractors worldwide).

Slate Roofing Contractors Association The Slate Roofing Contractors Association is dedicated to furthering the training, knowledge and skills in all facets of the slate roofing industry; including roof contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and homeowners.  American Custom Contractors is a registered Slate Roofing Contractor with the association, the most prestigious level of membership which requires a high degree of experience and expertise.

	Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau The Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau is a non-profit industry association that represents Certi-label brand product installers. The Cedar Bureau administers a quality assurance program and protects the viability of the cedar shake and shingle roofing and sidewall industries.

	National Association of the Remodeling Industry The NARI is dedicated to developing and sustaining programs that expand and unite the remodeling industry. NARI encourages ethical conduct, sound business practices and professionalism in the remodeling industry.

	Certified Contractors Network For years CCN has proven to be the highest quality, most effective, contractor consulting available to large and small companies, homeowners, and other participants in the contracting industry. They provide information for homeowners on how to make successful construction investments and how to choose the right contractor.

	Maryland Chamber of Commerce The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is the leading statewide organization dedicated to business advocacy. Members are active in the public policy advocacy, improving small businesses through networking and voicing concerns to lawmakers.

Our Certifications Include:

	Master Elite Roofing material manufacturer GAF awards the Master Elite certification to less than 2% of roofers in the country. Contractors with this designation are able to offer the GAF Golden Pledge Extended Warranty, in addition to a superior level of service and workmanship.

HAAG Certified The HAAG Certified Roofing Inspector Program was designed by the HAAG Engineering & Forensics Firm to educate adjusters and contractors to properly identify and assess damages to slate, cedar, asphalt, metal and flat roofing materials.  All of our Project Consultants have completed the intensive training and achieved the HAAG Roofing Inspector certification.  This education provides them an advantage when inspecting roofs for hail, wind, and other storm damage.

	Select Shingle Roofer (5 Star Certification) The Master Shingle Applicator program provides education in every aspect of shingle installation techniques, and the approved procedures for installing all CertainTeed shingles. The program covers topics such as workmanship, roof systems, estimating, flashing, ventilation and product installation.

	Shingle Master Company A company gains the Shingle Master status when it employs three or more Master Shingle Applicators. Each Master Shingle Applicator must pass the test, which includes information such as roof systems, estimating, flashing, and product installation.

	Quality Master Company The Quality Master program is an educational program that helps contractors increase the quality of their craftsmanship. The program provides information about how the design of high quality asphalt shingles result in better performance.

	Eco Star Gold Star EcoStar’s goal is to provide high quality, competitively priced premium steep slope roofing products using rubber and plastic technology as a base. EcoStar has a wide variety of styles and colors to choose from.

	GAF Certified Slate Crafter American Custom Contractors is certified by GAF to install the TruSlate product.  In addition to attaining the certification, we are eligible to install jobs with the Ultimate Pledge Warranty.
	GAF Authorized Installer GAF offers the top roofing contractors in each region the opportunity to participate in their Certified Contractor Program. American Custom Contractors is an active participant and has been certified by GAF Materials Corp.
	Professional Roofing Advisory Council Certainteed meets with contractors across the U.S. to discuss current information about the roofing industry. Only a selected group of firms are invited to attend these meetings. These contractors are chosen for their high level of professional knowledge.
