Project Spotlight
American Custom Contractors is always pleased when a customer is satisfied with their project and contacts us about an additional project! These McLean homeowners originally had us replace their wood siding, which was rotting and damaged, with James Hardie Fiber Cement siding. A few years later they contacted us again, this time with concerns about their roof.
The unique architecture of the roof presented some additional challenges when it came to determining the best ventilation system. The homeowners had taken the time to educate themselves about varying options and American Custom Contractors presented solutions, and an agreement was made to utilize different products for each section of the home based on the design of that particular area. This would insure that the roof would attain its maximum life span and not fail prematurely due to ventilation issues.

In addition to replacement of the roof and modification of the ventilation, American Custom Contractors replaced all of the plywood so that the roof would meet building codes. During this process we also replaced the insulation in their attic with AttiCat Blown Insulation. This is a cost efficient improvement that homeowners can make very easily in the midst of a roof replacement.
