Project Spotlight
Recently a Herndon resident contacted American Custom Contractors because of concerns with his asphalt roof. The home was about 15 years old and showing sigs of aging and natural weathering. Upon inspection it was found that the roof was reaching the end of its serviceable life and there were concerns about damage to the plywood underlayment. The homeowner was presented with several options and opted to replace the roof with a GAF Timberline Prestique 30 year roof system, accompanied by a 15 year workmanship warranty from American Custom Contractors. As standard practice, American Custom Contractors also replaced the skylights on the home, which were the same age as the roof and showing similar signs of aging.

During the roof replacement process we found that there was damaged plywood and roof boards, as suspected during the initial inspection. American Custom Contractors replaced the plywood and roof boards so that the new roof would be up to acceptable specifications as directed by the manufacturer, and according to our company standards.
The final result is a beautiful new roof that will protect the home for many years to come!
