This particular home had a cedar shake roof system that was in need of replacement. Our inspection showed that there was evidence of natural weathering, cracking of shingles and splitting of shakes. These problems could lead to future leaks if left unattended. The cracks and splits in the cedar shakes are prime areas for water infiltration.
