The Hill-Byrne family had been living in their Rockville home for about 8 years, and had been experiencing window failure and problems with their aluminum siding. Their friend, Mary Ann Day, referred them to American Custom Contractors, because she had recently completed a project and was pleased the the results. Mr. Hill visited the Rockville showroom and spoke with Project Consultant, Tim Booth. After a long conversation recapping the condition of the windows, aluminum siding and some possible issues with the roof, Tim set-up a follow-up appointment to complete an on-site inspection.
Upon completing the inspection it was confirmed that the roof system was also in need of some work — the decking was soft, which indicated damage to the underlying plywood, which may have resulted from either poor attic ventilation, leaks in the roof system, or a combination of both. The Hill-Byrne family was also interested in replacing a front door and installing new side lights. After speaking again with Tim, it was mutually agreed that the replacement of the windows and siding would bring about a greater return on investment than the entry door replacement would yield.
After working with Tim, the Hill-Byrne’s decided to replace their roof system with a GAF Timberline 30 Year product, taking advantage of American Custom Contractor’s GAF Master Elite status, which made the project eligble for the Extended Golden Pledge Warranty. They also chose Soft Lite vinyl windows, Certainteed Carolina Beaded Siding (lifetime warranty) and replacement of their gutters and downspouts to help with drainage from their roof system. The best part was that they were able to take advantage of the 2nd Annual Holiday Tree Event, which gave them an additional savings of $5,000.
Today the Hill-Byrne’s are thrilled with their new home, and are looking forward to spending their time on other home improvement projects.
